Visitation Work Program
Our visitation program, which is referred to as "Our Work Program", started at Cherokee in January of 2008. This program has been very successful in other areas where it has been used.
Overview
Four teams are being formed from our present membership, with one of the four captains over each team. Tony Stayer has agreed to serve as our coordinator for this as we begin this program. The Two team captains will be: Rick Ragan, and Randy Lilley. Both teams will meet each month. The home in which they will meet, and the particular night on which they meet (and meeting time), will be determined by the team captain by consulting the members of his team. Team members are encouraged to attend the meetings as faithfully as possible.
The team meetings will consist of: 1) a short 2-5 minute devotional; 2) the handing out of assignment cards to the team members; 3) refreshments and fellowship.
If possible, assignments should be completed in the week the assignments are given. When the assignment has been completed, the team members are to place the filled out assignment card in the container provided and then check the assignment off on the assignment list posted on the bulletin board. [For those unable to get out and visit, assignment cards to send a card or make a phone call will be given.]
Approximately every six months the teams will be reorganized. There will probably be a reorganization meeting and fellowship dinner prior to this taking place.
